Multi-User Vendor Records

This index article will serve as an explanation and as a collection of links to better understand and navigate the Multi-User functionality for Vendors.

What is it?

The Multi-User function is a feature available to Premium and non-Premium Vendors alike. It will allow a Vendor to create a Vendor Organization, which will allow Vendors to associate multiple users to the same account. Previously each user associated with a Vendor would have to make a separate Vendor account for submissions to the same Buyer. This will cut down on duplication and make collaboration for vendors much easier.

Since there is only one vendor user per account currently, each of these users will automatically become the Vendor Organization Admin for the newly made Vendor Organization.

The user experience

Vendors still log into their portals the same way they always have. Once you have logged in, click on the profile in the top right corner and navigate to account settings. There you will encounter a message navigating you to the new section where they can edit all their info.

Here's what the old settings page looked like:

And here is what it looks like now with the new update and the navigation prompt:

Please note this is only accessible to the Vendor Organization Admin and once clicked, the new page will allow them to edit the following:

  1. Business Info - Edit all the record information tied to your vendor organization
  2. Commodity codes - Add/edit the commodity codes that describe the goods/services your business provides. These help us notify you of new opportunities that you may be interested in.
  3. Location Settings - Define the regions your business service. This also helps us notify you of new opportunities you might be interested in. This is a mandatory field.
  4. Timezone & Language - Edit the timezone and language of the system
  5. Manage Users - Manage users in your organization, invite new users, accept join requests and edit how users can join your organization.
