Quick Guide to Commodity Codes for Vendors

What Are Commodity Codes?

Commodity Codes are a standard set of codes that identify the products and services a Vendor provides.

How Are Commodity Codes Used in Euna Procurement?

Attaching Commodity Codes to your profile tells Euna Solutions®' Commodity Code Engine which products and services you provide. When a Project Owner attaches matching Commodity Codes to their Project, the system generates an Opportunity Notification email to alert you. This email names the opportunity and links directly to the Project Details page.

Why Is This Beneficial?

Setting up your Commodity Codes brings matching project notifications to you, removing the need to search for opportunities individually.

How Do I Get Started?

Unregistered vendors must navigate to a Euna Procurement Portal and complete Vendor Registration. Commodity Code setup is included as part of this process, and you can update your codes at any time.

If you have already set up your Account and want to modify your Commodity Codes, see How Do I Add or Delete Commodity Codes on My Vendor Record?

You can also set up your Service Region or Service Regions to limit Opportunity Notifications to the States, Provinces, or Territories where you do business. See How Do I Receive Bid Notifications Only in My Area or Region? for setup steps.

What Kind of Commodity Codes Does Euna Procurement Use?

Euna Procurement supports the following commodity code sets:

Tip

Euna Procurement's Commodity Code Crosswalk notifies you of relevant Projects across all supported commodity code sets, even those not on your profile. That means if you only have NAICS codes on your profile, you will now match with a project tagged in NIGP codes - as long as the codes are semantically equivalent

Note

NIGP code access requires confirmation of licensing before a portal can enable it.

Commodity Code types are set on a per-portal basis, based on each organization's needs. Your codes are attached to your Global Vendor Record, so you do not need to set them on every portal you log into.
